Nice helmet, but runs WAY too small.
I have an 8U team. In baseball terms 8U stands for 8 year olds, as in 8 year old children...youth...8 years ago they were born. Call me crazy, but because the kids are 8, I figured that they would need a youth helmet. Negative, ghost rider.
None of my kids could were the youth helmet. They fit so tightly that it made their faces look like a baby shar-pei while wearing the helmets.
I tried a helmet on my 5 year son. It BARELY fit him, and probably won't fit him next year.
For the record, the children that tried on these helmets have fairly normally shaped and sized heads for their age.
Be forewarned...if you are looking for a helmet for your son or daughter and they do not have the head the size of an orange, you might want to go up to an adult SM/MD.
Furthermore, If you have to return the helmets to homerunmonkey.com, you must pay return shipping. Returning 11 helmets from Georgia to California is not cheap these days...especially when you realize that you are paying around $30 for NOTHING.
Besides the helmets being way too small, everything else about them is fine. They have a good design and they seem to be durably constructed helmets.
Did not get to try the helmet out. It was to small for my son. I had to return it for the adult size. They must run small cause my son is only 11.
