Batting Tees
In T-Ball, usually there is no pitcher. A ball is placed on a batting tee that sits atop the home plate. The height of the batting tee is adjusted to suit the batter. Sometimes the coach will give the batter an opportunity to hit a few pitched balls before going to the batting tee. This is done in an effort to further develop the batting skills of the tee ball player. Most of the other rules are the same as baseball. Tee-ball is played on a smaller field than a baseball field.
